Wanda B. Shepherd

Wanda B. Shepherd, 92, formerly of Toledo, IL, passed away at 12:15 am on April 24, 2023, at the Mattoon Rehab and Health Care Center.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Greenup Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.

Wanda was born on February 26, 1931, in Johnstown, IL, the daughter of Marlo and Clara (Randolph) Speer.  She married Roscoe Shepherd on January 25, 1949, and he preceded her in 1999. Survivors include: her son Ron Shepherd and Roscoe “Rock” Shepherd; daughter Diane (Jim) German; three grandchildren Camron Brandenburg, Holly Brandenburg, and Rocky Shepherd; three great-grandchildren Brody Johnson, Bryson Brandenburg, and Ethan Zike; and sister Beverly Kingery. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers Rex Speer and Max Speer.

Wanda worked and retired at RR Donnelley and was a member of the Toledo Christian Church.
