Tyler Alexander

Tyler Lee Alexander, 60, of Toledo, Illinois passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him. Tyler had a lifelong passion for cars, Oakland Raiders football, fishing, and above all family. He will be remembered by all as a man who always put others needs ahead of his own; someone to turn to no matter the hour of the day; someone who would drop everything to help anyone. Tyler was known for his kind heart, innate ability to think outside of the box mechanically and otherwise, work ethic, sense of humor, and his dedication to raising his beloved daughters.

Due to recent events private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Tyler as born at Offut Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska on March 18, 1960 to Bruce and Carolyn (Wade) Alexander of Cumberland County Illinois. He graduated from John Jay High School, San Antonio, Texas with the class of 1978. Tyler was a self-taught mechanic; together with his parents he successfully ran Alexander’s Service Center, Towing, and Repair. He established a career for years at R.R Donnelly and Sons where he met the love of his life and many friends.

Tyler is survived by his loving wife Kristen; daughters Callie, Katherin (Nathan), Elizabeth (Theodore), and Aubrey; father Bruce; siblings Bruce and Lee; grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn.
