Tony Lee Smith

Tony Lee Smith, 76, of Greenup, IL passed away at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Casey Health Care Center.

A drive by memorial visitation will be held at the Casey Saddle Club in Casey’s Fairview Park on Sunday January 24th, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Please enter the park from the S.E. 6th St. entrance. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.

Tony was born on February 20, 1944 in Casey, IL to Howard & Edema (Darling) Smith. He married Mary Alice Weir on September 11, 1964. Surviving is his wife; son Marlen Smith of Greenup; daughters Toni (Mike) Mullen of Casey and Laura (Matt) Morecraft of Charleston, IL; sisters Vera (Henry) Carr and Hanna (Mike) Keller; grandchildren Austin (Courtney) Smith, Amber (Clayton) Tipsword, Stephen Smith, Hunter Smith, Calista Taylor, Megan Morecraft, Madison Morecraft, and Emma Morecraft; and 4 great grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Jim and Howard Smith and a sister Thelma Joyce Smith.

Tony was a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years. He was a continually active member of the Casey Saddle Club. In lieu of flowers memorials donation can be made to the Casey Saddle Club Box 628 Casey, IL 62420.
