Thelma Keller

Thelma M. Keller, age 104, of Greenup, IL passed away at 3:15 am on October 31, 2025, at Cumberland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Greenup.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday November 7, 2025, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup.  A one-hour visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday November 7, 2025, also at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery following the service.

Thelma was born June 24, 1921, in Gila, IL, to Frank and Barbara (Shotts) Carrico. She married Perry Keller December 9, 1939, and he preceded her in death in 2006. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Henry, John, Charles, Ross, and Bill. Sisters: Pearl Lofstedt, Mamie Isley, Mildred Carrico, and Mary Myers.

Thelma worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Co. for 38 years and was a member of Eastern Star and Cumberland County Life Center. She made over 82 hand sewn quilts, which were given to members of her family.
