Teresa "Terry" Hawickhorst

Teresa “Terry” Hawickhorst, 81, of Greenup, IL passed away at 6:45 am on March 11, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday March 16, 2022, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 to service time on Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Terry was born on January 14, 1941, in Effingham, IL to Russell & Maude (Oakley) Stockbarger. She married Phillip Hawickhorst on August 8, 1964. Survivors include her husband; sister Sue Matheny; special niece and nephew Marney and Shane. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters Letha Jean Bennett, Shirley Wiley and Rose Mary Matteson.

Terry was a homemaker and had worked at Eastern Illinois University and for the Illinois State Police. Terry enjoyed being outside and her pets.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis.
