Sheryl J. McWhorter

Sheryl J. McWhorter, age, 65, of Toledo, IL passed away at 8:20 am on Wednesday September 29, 2021, at Barnes- Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

A visitation will be held on Monday October 4, 2021, at Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 5, 2021, at 10:00 am, also at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery.

Sheryl was born on July 22,1956, to Cecil and Mary (Shade) Trigg, in Mattoon, IL.  Survivors include son Jake (Tara) McWhorter; grandchildren Paige, Jace, and Addie McWhorter; brothers Frank (Mary Lou) Trigg, Doval (Patsy) Trigg, Jim (Nancy) Trigg, John (Karen) Trigg, Joe (Marie) Trigg, and Jerry (Margie) Trigg; sisters Noveta Campbell, Naomi Henne, and Jeannie (Bob) Hoene. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Don, Delbert, and Jake Trigg; sister Sue Baker and her half-sister Rhea Enyart.

Sheryl worked at the World Color Press for over twenty years.  She was a member of the Mattoon Eagles club and the Moose Lodge. Sheryl enjoyed her family and never missed an opportunity to watch her grandchildren’s sporting events.
