Sandra Joe VanScyoc

Sandra Joe VanScyoc, 83, of Neoga, passed away at 5:50 pm on September 17, 2023.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday September 23, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday September 22, 2023, also at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. The burial will be in the Drummond cemetery.

Sandra was born on June 20, 1940, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Rosalee Alice (Scott) Lawhorn. She married Donald E. VanScyoc on October 8, 1955, and he preceded her on November 12, 2006. Survivors include her son Chester (Kathy) VanScyoc; daughters Deborah (Bruce) Farr, Vola (Roy) Haney, Becky (Stanley) Cowger, and always like a daughter, Lori Stone; 24 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepmother Vola Ernistine Hodegs, son Ronald VanScyoc, brothers Wallace Eugene Scott and Larry Lawhorn, sister Virginia Thomas, and three great grandchildren.

Sandra worked as an assembler at Fedders for 25 years. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
