Ronald Eugene Collins

Ronald Eugene Collins, 86, of Toledo, IL passed away at 9:30 pm on January 25, 2024, at Arbor Rose in Charleston, IL.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday February 1, 2024, at the Toledo Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening at the church. The burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Ronnie was born on September 5, 1937, in Atwood, IL to Claude Mason & Helen Eileen (Thompson) Collins. He married Lois Sowers in 1955. Survivors include his wife; and four sons Danny (Carol) Collins, Terry (Susan) Collins, Rodney (Ann) Collins, and Roger (Leah) Collins; grandchildren Jaimee James, Nicole Sydow, Ashley Bushur, Rachael Collins, Jenna DeMoss, Lorenzzi Zappa, and Samuel Collins; ten great grandchildren; brother Bobby (Sandy) Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Timothy Lawrence Collins, brother Richard Collins, and sister Norma Searles.

Ronnie was a farmer, and a mechanic, he also worked for Howell Asphalt for many years.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Toledo Christian Church.
