Ronald D. Aleshire

Ronald D. Aleshire, 72, of Montrose, IL passed away at 5:06 PM, Sunday, March 21, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Jewett Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Jewett Community Church. Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Cumberland County Veterans. The family request casual attire. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ron was born on August 10, 1948 in Mattoon, IL the son of Ivan and Frankie (Sowers) Aleshire. He married Barbara Callahan on March 4, 1983. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Sarah (Aaron) Sieben; and brother Stephen Aleshire. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ron was a lifelong farmer and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
