Obituary
Roger L. VanScyoc, 74, of Toledo, IL passed away at 6:35 pm on March 1, 2022, at Arbor Rose of Charleston, in Charleston, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 7, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday March 7, 2022. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery with Military Rites by the Cumberland County Veterans.
Roger was born in Mattoon, IL on September 27, 1947, to Orville and Helen (Martin) VanScyoc. He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Greg) White of Springfield, IL, and Lisa (Tony) Collins of Oblong, IL. Sister, Joyce Sly of Toledo, IL. Two grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Tim) Bower, and Logan Collins, and one great grandchild, Harley Jo Bower. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger worked as a Security Guard and transported cars for J & K Mitchell. He was a die-hard Saint Louis Cardinals fan, and he was proud of his service in Vietnam. Roger loved reading books. His favorite authors were James Patterson, and Tom Clancy.
