Roberta J. Conrad

Roberta J. Conrad, 83, of Toledo, IL passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery rural Greenup.

Roberta was born August 24, 1935 in Deland, IL to Hugh and Murna (Oakley) Starwalt. She married Leroy “Jack” Tipsword in March of 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1965. For a time, she was married to Jack Robinson; in 1984 she married Don Conrad and he preceded her in 1992. Surviving are her children Theresa (Joe) Rice, Terry (Alan) Haga, Eddie (Pat) Tipsword, Scott (Martha) Tipsword and Jackie Williams; 16 grandchildren, 3 step grands; 41 great grandchildren, 7 step great grands and 10 great great grandchildren; Brothers Carl (Evelyn) Starwalt and Harry (Judy) Starwalt; Sisters Gladys Burley and Maudie Younger. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Glenn, Clema, Ross, Paul, Robert, Ralph and Leland Starwalt; sisters Martha Thomas and Katie Michlig; and grandson Tony Haga.

Roberta was a homemaker and worked at the Ettelbrick Shoe Co. and retired from Kerns Manufacturing in Neoga, IL.
