Randy L. McElravy

Randy L. McElravy, 72, of Greenup, IL passed away at 3:54 am on February 18, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday February 24, 2020 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial with Military Rites by Cumberland County Veterans will be in the Friends Grove Cemetery.

Randy was born on August 6, 1947 in Effingham, IL to Arthur “Gene” & Rosebud (Decker) McElravy. He married Sandy Markwell on July 18, 1971. Surviving is his wife; sons Scott (Kristal) McElravy of Fairfield and Greg (Angie) McElravy of Jewett; daughter Joni (Jason) Russell of Jewett; brother Jeff (Nancy) McElravy of Jewett; sister Vicki (Carl) Wellbaum of Jewett; seven grandchildren Noah and Ethan McElravy, Allison and Garrett McElravy, Lauren (Evan) Strader, Abby Russell and Emily Russell. Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy was a Bricklayer for nearly 45 years. He attended the Friends Grove Church. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Memorials can be made to HSHS Hospice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com
