Obituary
Rev. Peggy June Watters, 64, of Greenup, IL. passed away at 2:00 pm on February 9, 2022, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday February 15, 2022, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. A celebration of life service will begin at 7:00 pm after visitation. Burial will be at a later date.
Peggy was born on July 3, 1957, in Fairfield, IL. to Charles and Thelma (Holmes) Lemons. She married Harold Watters on April 7, 2002. Survivors include her husband, children Jeremy (Sherri) Watters, Amy (Ryan) Howard and Jamie (Stephen) Grace; 13 grandchildren Chance Michael, K’lee Marie, Aaron, Spencer, Lydia, Courtney, Cassie, Corbin, Caleb, Michael, Haunna, Elijah, David and Chelsey; one great grandchild Bailey; brothers Alan and Leon Lemons; step siblings Gayla Tanner and Doug Sons. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Peggy was a homemaker and had worked at the Neoga Newspaper, Thelma Keller convention center. She was ordained by World Christianship Ministries in 2012.
Memorials can be made to the Mariah Outreach in Casey, IL.
