Paula Lee (Hurst) Kemper

Paula Lee Kemper, 64, of Greenup, IL passed away at 8:50 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urban, IL.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded. Please practice social distancing and masks will be required while attending services.

Paula was born July 30, 1956 in Mattoon, IL the daughter of Clinton and Dorothy (Bence) Hurst. She married David Kemper on November 10, 1985 and he preceded her on January 24, 2018. She is survived by her son, Clint (Ashley) Kemper; daughter, Hollie Hurst; three grandchildren, Mason Hurst, Nevaeh Kemper, and Riley Kemper; step-son, Wes (Heather) Kemper; step-daughters, Kathy (Dough) Pugh and Susan (Troy) Reed; brothers, Terry (Claudia), Larry, Jim (Charlotte), and Ed Hurst; sisters, Betty (Jerry) Zike, Madonna McCray, Joyce Zike, and Pamela Mitchell and fiancé Robert “Bob” Atwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother-in-law Allan Zike.

Paula was a homemaker.
