Patsy L. Wilson

Patsy L. Wilson, 86, of Greenup, IL passed away at 5:17 am on January 26, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday January 30,  2025, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Block Cemetery rural Greenup, IL.

Patsy was born on January 7, 1939, in Terre Haute, IN to Harvey and Goldie (Lewis) Henderson. She married Eugene “Gene” Wilson on May 24, 1958, and he preceded her on May 7, 2004. Survivors include her children Joyce (Greg) Houser, Donna (Greg) Melluzzo, Carol (Shannon) Weiscope, and Brad (Patty) Wilson; 15 grandchildren Elizabeth Houser, Chris (Holly) Houser, Derrick (Lisa) Harris, Melissa (Addison) St. John, Jenny (Cody) Cross, Ryan (Hannah) Wade, Haley (Lafe) James, Hannah (Hunter) Scales, Brandon (Gerry) Alvardo-Wilson, Dustin (Sierra) Melluzzo, April Melluzzo, Krystyna (Jon) Cutler, Katylyn Weiscope and special friend Tyler, Kyri Weiscope, and Kyah Weiscope; 21 great grandchildren; sister Sandy (Jeff) Starwalt; sister in law Cathy Henderson. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Larry and wife Brenda Henderson and Ron Henderson; one sister Judy Powell.

Patsy was a homemaker and retired from Cumberland School Dist. She was head cook for many years. Memorials can be made to Christ the King Altar and Rosary Society c/o Denise Pitcher 4706 E. 2100th Ave Montrose, IL 62445.
