Norma Delores Wallace, 86, of Montrose, IL passed away at 2:24 am on March 30, 2020 at her residence.

Due to recent events private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery rural Montrose. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.

Norma was born on October 1, 1933 in Montrose, IL to Thomas Arthur and Iva Blanche (Plummer) Ryder. She married Donald Wallace on February 6, 1954 and he preceded her on August 23, 2009. Surviving is her children Bonnie (Steve) Kennedy of Newton, Peggy (Gary) Whitaker of Montrose and Andy (Lisa) Wallace of Montrose; grandchildren Jason (Melissa) Kennedy, Kevin (Rebecca) Kennedy, Dr. Brian Kennedy, Todd (Stacy) Whitaker, Curtis (Amy) Whitaker and Matthew Whitaker; step granddaughter Kaycee Britton; seven great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; brother in law Richard Ebbert. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Vera Seeley, Nadine Wagner and Mildred Ebbert and brother Arthur Ryder.

Norma was a homemaker. She was known for her homemade noodles and vegetable soup and loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. She enjoyed her family and loved time with the grandkids. She was a member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church and the Woodbury United Methodist Women. Memorials can be made to HSHS Hospice or the Woodbury UMC.
