Norma J. Himes

Norma J. Himes, 95, of Toledo, IL passed away at 4:16 am on April 13, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Graveside services for both Kenneth and Norma will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday April 29, 2023, at the Himes Cemetery on their family farm. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Norma was born on October 29, 1927, in Burns, KS. To Noble and Genevieve (Harvey) Williams. She married Kenneth L. Himes on August 19, 1949, and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2016. Survivors include her children Tommy (Brenda) Himes, Larry (Brenda) Himes, Gary (Kathy) Himes, Brian (Michelle) Himes, and Linda (Gary) Cornwell; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister Loyette Brewer. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Melvin and Marvin Williams.

Norma was a homemaker; out of high school she went to work for State Farm Insurance for a time. She also had worked at Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of the Findlay Christian Church.
