Martha Ann Kemper

Martha Ann Kemper, 87, of Greenup, IL. passed away at 8:25 pm on March 10, 2022, at the Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday March 21, 2022, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL.  Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Monday at the Barkley Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Martha was born on February 5, 1935, in Danville, IL. daughter of Clarence and Florence (Thompson) Winkler. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Peggy) Black; Daughter, Joy Roley; Grandchildren, Jessica L. Sumpter, Jeremy E. Black, and Justin W. Roley; Great-grandchildren, Julia Sumpter, Drew Sumpter, Davis Roley, Simon Roley, and Cole Black. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, William “Bill” Perrine.

Martha was a waitress at the coffee shop in Greenup, IL for many years. She was a huge Elvis fan and was a bowling maven! Martha loved competing in bowling tournaments any chance she could get.
