Margaret Claire Venatta

Margaret Claire Venatta, 93, of Toledo, IL passed away at 9:44 pm on August 9, 2022, at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday August 13, 2022, at the Toledo United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 2:00 to service time at the church. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Margaret was born on August 29, 1928, in Toledo, IL to Virgil & Marinda (Richardson) Furry. Survivors include her children Bill (Cheryl) Venatta, Brenda (Bud) Decker, Cindy (Rick) Marrs, and Doug (Jane) Venatta; 13 grandchildren Merinda Venatta, Missy (Jeremy) Peters, Jamie (Staci) Venatta, Jordan (Gaby) Venatta, Jacob (Adree) Venatta, Jenna (Aaron) Young, Josh (Cindy) Decker, Megan (James) Lawson, Jillian (John) Castillo, Andrew (Victoria) Marrs, Lucas (Jennifer) Marrs, Joel (Sarah) Marrs, and Rachel Marrs; 28 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson R. Todd Venatta.

Margaret was a homemaker, she also babysat for several of her grandchildren and other children over the years. She was a faithful member of the Toledo United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Cumberland County Home Extension and Toledo Domestic Science Club for years. Memorials can be made to Cumberland Backpack Ministry P.O. Box 267, Toledo, IL 62468.
