Madge L. St. John

Madge L.  St. John, 93, of Toledo, IL. passed away on Sunday September 25, 2022, at 12:30 pm at the Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL.

Per Madge’s wishes, there will be no services held. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Madge was born on May 24, 1929, the daughter of Oscar and Eva (Christopher) Mock, in Toledo, IL.  She married W. Eugene St. John on September 12, 1948, and he preceded her on April 11, 2014. Madge is survived by her son Johnny (Brenda) St. John; sister Lois Letner; grandchildren Andy (Christina) St. John, Amy (Kyle) Warren, and Addison (Melissa) St. John; great grandchildren, Emma St. John, Ava and Payton Allen, Payton Drum, and baby girl St. John arriving in December. She is preceded in death by  her parents, husband, brother John H. “Bill” Mock, and sisters Ruby Holsapple and Jean Dial.

Madge worked for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Toledo, IL. for 30 years. Throughout her life, she was an avid fan of the Fighting Illini basketball team.
