Obituary
Lydia Jean Fritts, 73, of Trilla, IL., passed away at 1:58 pm on Saturday January 28, 2023, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday February 2, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at the funeral chapel in Toledo. Burial will be in the Jack Oak Cemetery.
Lydia was born on May 13, 1949, in Greenup, IL., the daughter of Kenneth and Olive (Carver) Carlen. She married Terry Fritts on August 15, 1969. He preceded her in death in 2004. Survivors include son Brian (Kristi) Fritts; daughter Penny (Mitch) Howard; brothers Jim and John Carlen; grandchildren Andrew Fritts, Lainie Fritts, Logan Howard, Paige Schwindt, Jordan Howard, Austin Howard, and Keaton Howard; great-grandchildren Liam, Emmery, and Granger Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother E. Joe Carlen.
Lydia worked as the Office Manager for Eastern Illinois University for 15 plus years. She was a member of the Jack Oak Church and an E.I.U. Alumni.
