Loretta Louisa Eggers

Loretta Louisa Eggers passed away on January 23, 2024, at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga at the age of 93.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  Burial will be at Friends Grove Church Cemetery in rural Toledo.

Loretta was born on January 3, 1931, to Vora and Bernice (Moses) Stierwalt. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Eggers of Toledo, her daughter, Brenda Blackerby, of La Quinta, California, and brother, Carl Stierwalt of Toledo. Grandchildren are Blake Eggers of Monticello, Brooke Eggers of Champaign, Hillary Blackerby of Santa Barbara, California and great granddaughter, Ada Larimore-Blackerby of Santa Barbara, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Eggers, her son, Gary Eggers, and her sister, Delores Jackson.

Loretta graduated from Toledo High School and went on to work at Brown Shoe Company in Mattoon. She married Charles Eggers in 1953. Loretta was so kind to everyone and loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
