Obituary
Loren Kent Kibler, 76, of Hidalgo, IL., passed away at 9:30 am on April 16, 2023, at HSHS St. Anthonys Hospital in Effingham.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kent was born on November 1, 1946, in Effingham, IL, the son of Loren A and Marie (Emmons) Kibler. He began his career in Urbana, Illinois working in Electronics for Magnavox. After returning to the family farm in 1970 with his wife Nancy (Mitchell), they were married for 27 years and had three children. He is survived by his children, Todd (Corine) Kibler, Josh (Rebecca) Kibler, Kelly (Rob) Hemrich, and “the favorite child,” his dog Duke; grandchildren, Jordan (Jordan) Hemrich, Garrett Hemrich, Kade Hemrich, Lauren Kibler, Lynsay Kibler, and Zella Kibler; sisters, Karen (Sam) White, and Kaye Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Ed Mitchell.
Kent was proud to be a lifelong multi-generational farmer.
