Lewis Hays Obituary

Lewis Arthur Hays, 59, of Danville, IL passed away September 4, 2021, in Danville, IL.

Memorial services will be at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

Lewis was born on December 16, 1961, to Lawrence Ritchey and Patricia Evans. Survivors include daughter Chelsea (Tony) Lane; sons Tyson Hays and Benny Hays; brother Harold Churchill; sisters Theresa Steadman and Cheryl Kirkman; six grandchildren William, Sonya, Kaleigh, Conner, Zaben and Owen; very special friends Sandra Lane and Jason and Shawnee Biava; nephews Terry Hays, Wes Hays, Jerry Hays, and Jason Churchill; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and adopted Mother Joyce Hays.

Lewis served in the US Army, he loved fishing, mushroom hunting, decorating for every holiday and NASCAR and Stock Car racing. Lewis was raised in Cumberland County. He married Kathy Hall on March 19, 1983.
