Leanne McClain

Leanne D. McClain, 79, of Hidalgo, IL passed away at 4:50 am on February 8, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Private services will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.

Leanne was born in Chicago, IL on May 28, 1945, to Otis and Marie (O’Daniel) Jones. She married Larry McClain Sr. on August 15, 1970, and he preceded her in death in 2018. Survivors include children James Bragg, Kim (Rick) Shepard, and Larry  (DeAnn) McClain Jr.; brother Don Jones; grandchildren Austin (Jackie) McClain, Lindsey McClain, Tyler (Shantha) Shepard, Jennifer (Layne) Warfel, Alexander Shepard, Jacob (Marizza) Shepard, Nikki Shepard, Natalie Shepard, Chad (Skylar) Bragg, and Brad Bragg; great grandchildren Madaline, Lucas, Katherine, Clara, and Lorelei Shepard; Bo and Roarke Bragg; Harli, Elanor, Evangeline and Levi Warfel. Leanne was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lois Marti; two brothers Robert and Larry Jones.

Leanne was a homemaker who prided herself in always keeping a very clean home. She worked for many years at Pyroferric International in Toledo, IL.
