Larry E. Hunter, 63, of Charleston, IL passed away at 6:43 pm on Sunday October 30, 2022, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday November 5, 2022, starting at 1:00 pm at the Coles County Fairgrounds in the Merchant Building. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
Larry was born on July 21, 1959, to James and Anna May (Hudson) Hunter, in Charleston, IL. He is survived by his life partner of 23 years Julie Gadeburg; daughters April Hunter, Shealon (Gary) Downey, Jennifer Gadeburg and Kimberly Gadeburg; brother Brian Hunter; sisters Angie Wysocki, and Rhonda Vynorius; stepmother Pat Hunter; grandchildren Ryanna, Gavin, Jeremiah, Leanna, James, Hunter, Nate, Scotty, Coral, and Brooklyn; and a man’s best friend Bandit. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Larry worked as a heavy equipment operator for RT Moore out of Indianapolis, IN, for 25 years. He enjoyed buying and rebuilding old cars, attending events at the Charleston Speedway, camping, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Round Grove Sportsman Club in Martinsville, IL.
