June Bland

June Bland, 70, of Toledo, IL passed away at 1:05 am on October 29, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.

Memorial graveside services will be at a later date at Jewett Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.

June was born on June 19, 1955, in Effingham, IL to Joseph and Helen (Brown) Cox. She married Don Bland on June 18, 1983. He preceded her in 2011. Survivors include her many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Dylan Cox (Kendra Decker) and Sierra Cox; great grandchildren Serenity, Neako, Kasydee, Brelynnd, Abby, Ayden and Aleah. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Jon Travis Cox, sisters Olive Gray, Barb Lueken, Joanne Miller, Pat Gentry, Rita Kay Cox and Rose Russell; brothers Albert, Larry, Billy Joe and Stanley Cox.

June was a homemaker. She worked at Charles Industries in Casey for 15 plus years. She was an in-home health care provider, a manager at Petro truck stops in Effingham and Tennessee and for a time she was a bartender. June loved gardening, going antiquing, playing cards and traveling.
