Judith A. Powell, 80, of Jewett, IL passed away at 6:52 am on November 13, 2021, at the Cumberland Rehab and Health Care, in Greenup, IL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
Judith, daughter of Harvey “Gene” and Goldie (Lewis) Henderson, was born on August 19, 1941, in Mattoon, IL. She is survived by her daughter; Laurie (Joe) Ettelbrick, sons; Jim Powell (Diana Nelson), and Brian (Donda) Powell, sisters; Patsy Wilson, and Sandy (Jeff) Starwalt, grandchildren; Megan (Derek) Warfel, Nathan Titus, Olivia (Matthew) Todd, Matt (Tanja) Nelson, Racheal (Ryan) Tipsword, Theresa Nelson, Levi (Ashley) Cravens, Courtney Stevens, and Tiara Stevens, great-grandchildren; Scarlett, Eva, Natalie and Taylor Warfel, baby Todd coming in March, Mason, Marshall, Isaac, Wyatt, and Alaina Tipsword, Madison and Gavin Cravens, and Savannah, and Kolsyn Stevens. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Larry Henderson and Ron Henderson, and one son Jason Powell.
Judith enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and winning against her sons at dice. She loved her children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She worked at several factories including, Underwood’s in Casey, Roadmaster in Effingham and as a secretary in a children’s nursing home in Carol Stream.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
