Joyce Schoen Obituary

Joyce Shirley (Chapman) Schoen, 79, of Altamont, passed away at 3:02 pm on Monday October 31, 2022, at her residence.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joyce was born on February 26, 1943, to Omar and Hilda ( Walker) Metcalf in Chicago, IL. She married Carrol Schoen in 1996. Survivors include her sons, Dave, and Dale Chapman; daughter, Dawn Snyder; grandchildren, Nicole Burcham, Nate Snyder, Jessika Thorpe, and Ashley Chapman; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, and two great grandchildren.

Joyce worked as a respiratory therapist for over 30 years.
