Joyce E. McGuire

        Joyce E. McGuire, age 73, passed away peacefully at 3:44 p.m. on Thursday, May 25th 2023, at Sullivan Rehab & Health Care Center.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday June 9th, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. A Memorial Visitation will be held June 9, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery.

Joyce was born to Orville and Mildred Barnett on February 4th, 1950 in Mattoon, IL. On July 28, 1966 Joyce married Vern McGuire in Johnstown, IL. Joyce was a cook for a number of nursing homes and a member of the Bradbury Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts and her dogs Muffin and Squirrel. She is survived by sons; Tracey (Julie) McGuire, Bobby McGuire, and Jeff McGuire. Daughter, Susan Jackson (Rocky). Grandchildren; Chase, Quinten, Cheyene, Hannah, Kyle, Jacob. Along with 15 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Special friend; Norman Edwards.  Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gene Barnett; and husband, Vivian Laverne (Vern) McGuire.
 

Memorials may be made to the Neoga Free Methodist Church.
