Joshua E. Lawhorn

Joshua E. Lawhorn, 31, of Vandalia, IL passed away on Sunday September 8, 2024.

Private services will be held per the family’s wishes. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

Josh was born on July 1, 1993, to Roy Jr. and Janet (McFarland) Lawhorn, in Mattoon, IL. He married Judy (Hoffmann) Lawhorn on March 20, 2021. Survivors include his parents; his loving wife Judy; Children Landon, Kayden, Rhett, Brooklyn, and Addyson; Brothers Paul (Paige) Lawhorn and Trey (Jenna) Dossett; Sister Christy Worthey. Josh was preceded in death by his Grandparents Roy and Emma Lawhorn and a special Aunt Paula McDonald that he loved and considered his mom.

Josh was a Correctional Officer at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro. Josh also served in the Army National Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Josh’s children.
