Jon Travis Cox

Jon Travis Cox, 46, of Jewett, IL passed away at 1:38 AM, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Burial will in Jewett Cemetery at a later date.

Jon was born August 17, 1974 the son of June Cox. He is survived by his mother, June Bland; son, Dylan Cox (fiancé Britany Johnson); daughter, Sierra Cox (Robert Bacon); grandchildren, Serenity, Neako, Cass, Autumn, and Bry; uncles, Billy Joe Cox and Stanley (Sharon) Cox; and aunt, Patty Gentry.

Jon worked at Hanfland Sandblasting in Sigel and was a good patron at the Greenup VFW. He was a member of the Jewett Community Church and the Cumberland County Sportsman’s Club.
