Johnny Hank Ramsey

Johnny Hank Ramsey, 68, of Greenup, passed away at 7:53 am on January 1, 2024, at the Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup.

Services will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

John was born in Terre Haute, IN on August 20, 1955, to Robert William Sr. and Rosalie (Phillips) Ramsey. He is survived by his children Johnny (Cassie) Ramsey,  Jessica (Tom) Tutewiler, and Heather Ramsey; grandchildren Blake, Owen, and Will Ramsey, Ashley, Shaylin, Jaycee, and Josh Ray, Kaden Finney, Ashton, Anthony, Austin Rodgers; great grandchildren Paisley and Houston Wright, and Hudson Waldhoff; brother Robert “Bob” Ramsey Jr.; sisters Rosanna Boyd, Patty Stanley, Mary Jane Rincker, and Jean (Vic) James. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Victoria Mae Scales.

John was a heavy equipment operator for construction jobs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, side by side riding, farming, and watching westerns and spending time at the VFW in Greenup. He also played baseball in high school.
