John David Wickiser

John David Wickiser, 78, of Casey, IL passed away at 12:30 PM, Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Casey Health Care Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Cumberland County Sportsman Club. Please practice social distancing and mask will be required will attending services. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

He was born on November 30, 1942 in Mattoon, IL to John & Irene (Keller) Wickiser. He married Malinda Lawson on May 29, 1992. Surviving is his wife; children Paula Bullard of Teutopolis, Gina Wickiser of Toledo, Jimmy Wickiser of Mattoon; Jordan Wickiser of Neoga, Christopher Wickiser of Decatur, Amanda Rothenburger of Oak Ridge, NC, Jeremiah Sowers of Mattoon and Sylvia Taylor of San Antonio, TX; sister Judith Neild of Bellmore, IN and 9 grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents and 4 infant brothers.

David was mostly known for his sign painting; he also was a welder and retired from Trailmobile. He loved his pets, drawing and Sunday drives.

Memorials can be made to the family for help with final expenses or to an Animal shelter or Alzheimer’s and Dementia research.
