John Stafford Jr.

John Stafford, 68, of Jewett, IL passed away at 5:23 am on Saturday January 17, 2026, at his residence.

Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.

John was born on August 4, 1957, to O. John and Barbara (Owens) Stafford Sr., in Billings, Montana. He was married to Sandra Reed for over 30 years, and together they had two children: son John Kyle Stafford and daughter Lorilee Ann McQueen.  Survivors include children Kyle (Elizabeth) Stafford, and Lorilee McQueen; grandchildren Chloe Garner, Brendan Gaston, Makista Stafford, Madison McQueen, Kayli McQueen, and Sierra McQueen, great grandchildren Bentley and Ulani, sister DeArlyn (Hill) Hugel, bonus mom Mazell Stafford, two nieces, one nephew, two great nieces, two great nephews, dearest friend Dorothy Smith and treasured friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Bruner, and his parents.

John was an electronic engineer and was always active on his ham radio.
