John O. Cutright

John O. Cutright, 80, of Toledo, IL, passed away at 2:30 pm on Saturday June 24, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, in Mattoon.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday June 28, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 12:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Cutright Cemetery.

John was born August 24, 1942, in Effingham Il, the son of Theodore O. and Madeleine (Anderson) Cutright. He married Jo Bricker on September 21, 1973. Surviving is his loving wife, Jo; son Scott (Bonnie) Huber; grandson Logan John Huber; sister Melitta Cutright; niece Elisabeth Mapula; brother-in-law Dean (Sue) Bricker. He was preceded in death by his parents.

John graduated from Cumberland High School in the class of 1960. He got his Undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1964. He then graduated from the U of I Law School in 1967. He started working with his father at Cutright and Cutright Law Office on the square in Toledo, IL, for 57 years. John enjoyed studying family genealogy. Together, he and Jo loved traveling to various places, but his favorite place was Jamaica, where they were blessed to go 54 times.
