John Allen “Bub” Wilson, 74, of Toledo, IL passed away at 1:13 PM on March 27, 2021 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

John was born in Bradbury, IL on April 23, 1946 to John Charles and Marjorie (Hanley) Wilson. He married Alice Boswell on June 30, 1979 and she preceded him on August 17, 2000. He later married Thelma Ruth Lemons and she also preceded him in death. Surviving are his children John Cody of Neoga, IL and Rebecca Cody of Charleston, IL; grandchildren Robert, Brittany, Jared, Aimee, Tyler, and Daniel Cody; great grandchildren Willow Cain, Arabella Lett, Chris, Remington, Jaxston, and Avah Cody; brothers Bruce and Lawrence Wilson; and sisters Louise Moses, Donna Gambell, Maxine Ballinger and Charlotte Erwin. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Marion Wilson; and sisters Rosella Pollard, Patsy Abston, and Shirley Irwin.
