Jim E. Nickles

Jim E. “Jim Bob” Nickles, 58, of Greenup, IL passed away at 10:40 am on December 5, 2021, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

A memorial visitation service will be held Friday December 10, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. A private family burial will be at a later date.

Jim was born in Paris, IL on September 17, 1963, to Eugene and Patricia (Mullins) Nickles. He married Brenda Wade on July 21, 1984. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; son Dustin Nickles (Megan Vail); daughters Megan (Dylan) Yocum and Amanda Nickles; brother Mike (Terri) Nickles; sisters Kathleen “Sis” and Harvey “Bud” Carl, Pam Hensley, and Tammy (Mike) Oakley; and one grandchild Brynlee Grace Yocum. Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Jim worked at Pyroferic in Toledo, IL for over 10 years, Jewett Farm Center for several years, and worked for Charles Heuerman Trucking in Teutopolis, IL. for 21 years. He was a member of the New Hope Church.
