James E. Wade

James “Jim” Wade, 87, of Toledo, IL passed away at 12:15 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Salem Cemetery rural Toledo. Military Rites will be given by the Cumberland County Veterans. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jim was born July 3, 1933 in Greenup, IL the son of Rufus and Goldie (Hall) Wade. He married Edna Scales on July 20, 1957 and she preceded him in death in February 2017. He is survived by his son, Mark (Tracey) Wade; daughter, Brenda (Jim) Nickles; grandchildren, Megan (Dylan) Yocum, Katie (Josh) Feltner, Dustin Nickles, and Amanda Nickles; and sister, Betty Stutzman. He was preceded is death by his parents and brothers Don, Robert, Kenny, and Bill Wade.

Jim worked as a carpenter, custodian and at Greenup Grain before retiring from Pyroferric in Toledo, IL.
