James A. Morgan

James A. Morgan, 84, of Jewett, IL passed away at 11:05 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Lakeland Rehab and Health Care Center Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Toledo Christian Church Toledo, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until services time at the church. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family will arrangements.

Jim was born on January 13, 1936 in Mattoon, IL. the son of Rosco and Pauline (Dearnbarger) Morgan. He married Shirley Thompson November 29, 1957 and she preceded him in July 2008. He later married Faye Hughes on June 1, 2013. He is survived by his wife; sons, James P. “Jeep” (Carol) Morgan, Kevin (Barb) Morgan and Gregg (Joyce) Ritter; daughters, Kim (Gary) Hanley and Marcie (David) Pauley; step children Rick (Kay) Crowder and Bobbi Turner; 19 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five step great-great grandchildren; one step great great great grandchild and sister Christine Weaver. He was preceded in death by son Randy Morgan and brothers Bob and Ray Morgan.

Jim was a Union operator for several years and was a member of the Local # 841, Terre Haute, IN. He was a faithful member of the Toledo Christian Church for many years.
