Gary Ingram, 81, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 5:11 pm on Friday September 5, 2025, at Axiom Gardens of Mount Vernon in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Gary was born on June 16, 1944, in Trilla, IL, to Josiah and Opal (Benson) Ingram. He married Jeanie Hudson on September 8, 1989. Survivors include his wife Jeanie; children: Joseph Ingram, Lisa (Mike) Bridges, Brenda (Chuck) Layton, Susan (Kenny) Birch; grandchildren: Brooke Ingram, Haley Ingram, Megan (Jacob) Campton, Cayne Bridges, Taylee (Skyler) Eldridge, Danaille (Tony) Huffman, Jordan and Logan Morgan, Taylor and Becca Layton, Ryan and Brock Stroud, Cody Birch, Liz (Heather) Birch, and Kyden Hudson; great grandchildren: Daezen, Deakon, and Journey Campton, Asher and Addax Eldridge, Alli, Henley, and Madi Huffman, Bentley Birch, Jacob, Kaydence, Ary, and Hayden; brother Charles and Robert Ingram. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kye Hudson, great grandchild Connor Huffman, brothers Eugene, Kenneth and Ralph Ingram, sisters Louise Shook and Phyllis Branum.
Gary worked for Central Wholesale Supply Company for many years prior to owning and operating Illinois Plumbing and Heating before retiring.
