Garry Lee Kroenlein

Garry Lee Kroenlein, 81, of Mattoon, Illinois entered the heavenly gates at 11:58 p.m. on Thursday October 23, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center in Mattoon.

A memorial graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday November 8, 2025, at the Drummond Cemetery in rural Neoga. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.

Garry was born on August 14, 1944, in Montrose, Illinois to Kenneth and Dolly (Keller) Kroenlein. He married Hazel Kingery on October 29, 1965. He is survived by his loving wife Hazel of 60 years; daughters Lela (Les) Weck and Toni (Randy) Curry; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; as well as the neighbor boy whom he loved like a son, Chris Hutchcraft. Garry was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Sandra Hopper.

Garry worked at Anamet for 27 years as well as Bradley upholstery. His family was his proudest joy in life. Garry loved old cars, mushroom hunting, and their trips to Branson. He will be missed by all that knew him and loved him.
