Gail R. Ulrey, 73, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:45 am on March 25, 2021 at her residence.
Private family services will be held at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Burial will be in the Willis Chapel Cemetery rural Martinsville.
Gail was born in Urbana, IL on December 2, 1947 the daughter of Galen & Dorothy (Goodling) Magrill. She married William “Bill” Ulrey on March 11, 1967. Survivors include her loving husband; children Wade Ulrey of Greenup and Becky (Marshall) Carlen of Greenup; she was Nana to Colby Carlen; sister-in-law Sheila Ulrey of Martinsville; brother-in-law Roger (Dorthea) Ulrey of Casey, IL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her faithful pet schnauzer “Fritz”. She was preceded in death by parents Howard and Dorothy Burdette; in laws Jean & Linnie Ulrey; sister-in-law Linda (Chuck) Davis; sister-in-law Sue Ulrey; maternal grandparents John and Bernice Goodling.
Gail was the office and accounts manager for 40 years at Pap R Products in Martinsville. She was a member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church and she was treasurer and board member for many years. She bowled Ladies Nite Out League on the Snearley & Company team for years. Gail also played Bunco with a group of ladies each month. She enjoyed golfing, her flowers and gardening, reading, and watching the birds. She and Bill enjoyed the winters in Florida. Most of all she loved her time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
