Everett E. Hitt, 86, of Toledo, IL passed away at 6:25 PM on February 6, 2021 at his residence.

Services will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL is assisting the family.

Everett was born in Humboldt, IL on September 14, 1934 to James and Cora (Garrett) Hitt. He married Claris Glidewell on November 24, 1973. He is survived by his wife; children Cathy (Steve) Burberry of Harrodsburg, KY, Jim (Kim) Plunkett of San Diego, CA, Rod Plunkett of Hillsboro, IN, and Susan (Rob) Fulton of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Michael (Lacey) Burberry, Allison (Allan) Noort, Sydney (Joseph) Cavanagh, and Emma Plunkett; great grandchildren Lucy Burberry, Stephanie and Cody Noort, and Lea Cavanagh. Everett was preceded in death by his parents.

Everett was a mechanic at John Deere in Casey for many years. He served in the US Army from 1960 -63. Memorials can be made the to DAV Disabled American Veterans. Online condolences can be expressed at www.barkleyfuneralchapels.com
