Ella Louise Green

Ella Louise “Lou” Green, 93, of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 6:26 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenup.

Lou was born on December 24,1930, near Newton, Illinois, one of seven children born to the late William and Grace (Clark) Jester. On November 24, 1949, she married Merwyn L. “Red” Green. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2005. Lou and Red had two daughters, Connie Brown, and Nancy Sanders. She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Ron) Brown of Greenup, Illinois; grandchildren Harleigh (Jess) Brown of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Dallas Krhin of Bogata, Illinois; great-grandchildren Atticus Krhin, Estella Krhin, Finnegan Krhin and Carson Brown; and sister Loretta Hardin of Corinth, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, and five brothers.

There will be no services. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
