Donna L. Thompson

Donna L. Thompson, age 81, of Hidalgo, IL. passed away at 2:45 a.m. on May 21, 2024, at her residence.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Greenup Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup.

Donna was born on May 19, 1943, to Carlos and Dorothy (Tinsman) Cutright. She married Richard Thompson on November 16, 1963, and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2000. Surviving are sons James Thompson and Steven Thompson; one daughter Julie Seeley; brother Rick Cutright; sister Linda Ealy; grandchildren William Seeley, Andrew Seeley, Emily Seeley, Logan Thompson, and Darbie Thompson; great-grandchildren Jalen, Trinity, Zenobia, Kendall, and Koa. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and son William “Bill” Thompson.

Donna worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Company in Greenup for many years. Then she went to work at Craig & Craig for 10 years as a legal secretary.
