Donna S. Olmstead

Donna S. Olmstead, age 60, of Toledo, IL. passed away on April 12, 2022, at 4:30 pm at home.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, in Toledo, IL.  Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo.

Donna was born on February 6, 1962, the daughter of Donald and Karen (Moomaw) Sweitzer, in Effingham, IL. She is survived by her mother, Karen Sweitzer; father, Donald ( Laurie) Sweitzer; sons, Kevin, and Zach Sweitzer; daughter, Mikela (Jason) Martin; brother, Pete (Gina) Sweitzer; grandchildren, Dagon Smith, Kody Sweitzer, Maddox Sweitzer, Brayson Sweitzer, and Lyric Martin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Sweitzer.

Donna was a paramedic for the Toledo Area Ambulance Service for 13 years. She worked for the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department as the Dispatch Operator for 24 years, as well as working as the 911 coordinator for Cumberland County. She loved doing crafts, painting, and cooking. Donna also enjoyed reading crime/fiction novels.  Her number one joy in life was being a grandmother “mems”  and doting on her grandchildren.

Donna served on the Toledo Area Ambulance Board and was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.
