Donna Kimble

Donna Jo Kimble, 80, of Greenup, IL passed away at 10:30 pm on January 21, 2026, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday January 29, 2026, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral chapel. The burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Donna was born on February 5, 1945, in Greenup, IL to Harvey and Ruth “Po” (Strader) Carl. She married David “Silver” Kimble on July 26, 1969, and he preceded her on October 10, 2018. Survivors include her two sons Karl Kimble and Darrell (Amy) Kimble; four grandchildren Kody Kimble, Erik Kimble, Dalton Burke, and Cheyanne (Alex) Hayes; brothers Larry (Barb) Carl, Harvey “Bud” (Sis) Carl, and Randy “Tiny” Carl (Jan Dobbs); sisters Doris Houser, and Terri (Mike) Nickles. She was preceded in death by parents and three brothers Troy, Harlen, and David Carl; sister Earlene Shupe.

Donna was a homemaker and had worked at the Cumberland Nursing Center in Greenup for many years, she also had worked at the Greenup Dairy Queen and TRW in Casey. To Donna her whole world was her family, and she cherished the good times they had. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenup. Donna so enjoyed going to the Hootenannies they had in Greenup for many years. Memorials can be made to Heartland Manor Nursing and Rehab in Casey, IL.
