Donald Thomas "Donnie" Mills

Donald Thomas “Donnie” Mills, 77, of Lerna, IL passed away at 6:05 AM on May 19, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday May 24, 2019 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral chapel. Masonic Rites will be given at 7:00 PM after visitation. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery. There will be a luncheon at 11:30 on Friday before the funeral at the Greenup American Legion banquet hall.

Donnie was born on January 21, 1942 in Mattoon, IL to Don Wesley & Mary (Paul) Mills. He married Cindy Davis on July 1, 1990. Surviving is his loving wife; son Wes Mills (Karen Walker) of Greenup; daughter Sandy (John) Willetts of Punta Gorda,  FL; brother Frank Dimuzio; sister Liz McDonough; step brothers Robert and James King; step sister Paula King; grandchildren Christopher Mills, Crystal Mills (Ryan Ault) and Rebecca (Brandon) Shipman; 8 great grandchildren; sister in law Brenda (Rick) Gilbert. Don was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Misty Mills, Debbie Dimuzio and Cathy Marrese.

Donnie was a farmer and was in the Transportation/Trucking industry for many years. He was member of the Greenup Masonic Lodge 125 AF & AM, Cumberland County Sportsmen Club, the Mattoon Moose.
