Diana Lynn Nelson

Diana Lynn (Kemper) Nelson, age 63 of Toledo, crossed over on December 22, 2024, at 9:11 pm, at her residence, after a long battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025, at the Greenup VFW beginning at 4:00 pm. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on September 13, 1961, daughter of Frances Lillian (Morehead) Kemper and Rex Lloyd Kemper of Casey.

Sad to see her go are her parents; sweetie of 34 years, Jim Powell; children Matthew (Tanja) Nelson, Racheal (Ryan) Tipsword, and Theresa Nelson; grandchildren Mason, Marshall, Isaac, Wyatt, and Alaina Tipsword; grand-pups Sammy Nelson and Reese Dog.

Siblings Julia Attaway, Christina (Rex) Goble, Llyod (Robin) Kemper. A bunch of awesome nieces and nephews, wonderful great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends (you know who you are).

She was a member of Toledo American Legion Auxiliary, Greenup VFW Auxiliary and the Cumberland County Sportsman Club.

At her request, she would like for those who attend her celebration of life, to wear something Hawaiian or colorful (no gray).

Diana was an active member of her community and a proud supporter of our Veterans, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in her honor to the VFW Cumberland County Auxiliary Post 4598 or the Toledo American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

A Celebration of life is being planned for a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
